About Lily
Meet Lily, Latina, proud immigrant, owner/lead floral designer and educator.
Lily is a Southern California florist specializing in organic floral design. Her strong attention to detail in florals and decor is evident in just one quick scroll of her Instagram feed. She loves to make the world a brighter place by working with blooms and supporting non-profits along the way. Lily never planned on becoming a florist. Her floral design stemmed from a season of high work stress, and soon she found herself decompressing by arranging any flowers she could get her hands on every weekend. Five years of floral design later, she still gets the same rush from each finished arrangement that she did when she first began.
Giving florals a lasting impact has been important to Lily since day one, so naturally her passion for purposeful blooms led her to teaching others. She loves sharing her wealth of knowledge through her online courses and mentoring sessions in her home studio. Lily doesn’t have clients; she has friends. She considers it the highest honor to be part of their big day and she lives for the moment when a bride holds her bouquet for the first time.
Teaching Style
Whether in person or through recorded courses, Lily’s style of teaching is very casual. She knows most people don’t learn well in stiff environments… so in her classes, there is music, there are some happy tears, and there is laughter (even if it means Lily is laughing at herself in video courses). Often Lily will talk A LOT so some recorded videos are long, but that’s because she is telling you exactly what she is doing when she’s doing it. Her courses are very detailed; intentional but casual at the same time.
Design Aesthetic
Lily loves producing what makes her happy. It’s typically bouncy, light and romantic. She loves anything that has a natural curl or curve that gives her designs that bounce. Lily always aims for designs that seem as though they have grown out of a garden; organic in nature and design, never forced.
