Frequently Asked Questions
We hope the answer is yes! We designed Bloom Trust Co. to be a valuable resource for all kinds of flower people –aspiring and experienced designers, retail and wedding/event florists, freelancers, and farmer florists. The resources are carefully vetted by the Bloom Trust Co. team and our mission is to save you time by providing a highly curated and searchable site to help you find what you need quickly.
Our resources are vetted from a variety of sources, but the key word is “trust”. The people, products, and companies found on this site have our trust. In many cases, they are educators and small businesses that we have built a relationship with over the past 10+ years and we can verify the quality firsthand. Our BTCO recommended educators and experts who facilitate meetups and office hours sometimes point us to resources they have found. And we continue to get resource and product recommendations from our community as we interact with them in our virtual gatherings (monthly meetups and office hours).
Our goal is not to provide the most comprehensive list you could find, but to create a highly curated collection of resources you can trust. In many ways Bloom Trust Co. is more like a specialty boutique than a large retail supercenter. We want you to see options and choices, but not be overwhelmed with so many options and choices that you have a hard time sorting through it all. We have narrowed down the list, so you will be able to find a few excellent choices that meet your needs.
Yes! We are always looking for new resources to add to the site so recommendations from Bloom Trust Co. members and industry friends are always welcome. Once we receive a recommendation, we take the time to get as much information as we can and decide if it’s a good fit.
Bloom Trust Co. is a venture started in 2020 by the founder of Botanical Brouhaha, but it was the natural next step in the mission and purpose Amy McGee had in mind when she started Botanical Brouhaha in 2009. Botanical Brouhaha continues to offer inspiration and encouragement through blog posts and the Botanical Brouhaha podcast, while Bloom Trust Co. allows us to offer a much more complete array of floral resources to subscribers and is a platform we can continue to expand in the years to come.
If you are interested in partnering with us, just contact us and let us know what you have in mind. We are already working with several educators and companies to provide content and solutions for our members and we love finding collaborators that fit with our mission and values.
Currently we have one level of membership for everyone who joins. The membership gives you access to our highly vetted and curated searchable lists of floral related workshops and courses, products, services, and other resources. You will receive a weekly newsletter in your inbox on Sundays that includes information about upcoming events, industry news, and highlighted resources. We also have virtual gatherings for members each month. Past member meetup speakers have included Joseph Massie, Holly Chapple, Natalie Gill, Francoise Weeks, Sue McLeary, Sweet Root Village, Lucy Hunter, and many more! Experiencing a real-time business challenge? Drop by Office Hours and see how we can help. All this from the convenience of your home or studio!
Not at this time. We wanted to keep the membership price affordable and the membership options simple. If you’re wondering if Bloom Trust Co. is a good fit for you, feel free to give us a try for one month.
There are several ways to find content and we try to make it very intuitive and straightforward. The website is set up so you can search by category (for example: Education/Workshops, Resources, or Products) and you can refine your search using filters and tags. In addition, you can search the video library and our powerful search engine will cue up videos to the exact moment the topic you searched is mentioned in the video.
Our primary mission is to provide a highly curated collection of resources our members can trust while helping them find outstanding educational opportunities, products, and services to help them learn and grow. We also have a service component to the business that supports our mantra: Flower with Purpose. A portion of our net profits are set aside to support the causes we believe in — as well as helping BTCO members with the causes they are involved in through our Flowering with Purpose grant program.
Definitely not! It is a floral business venture with a social service heart. We want to be successful financially so we can provide resources to the floral community and connect people to educational opportunities, products, and services they can use to start, grow, and sustain their own businesses. In addition, we are committed to making a positive impact by supporting causes we believe in and providing support to BTCO members to impact their own communities through our Flowering with Purpose grant program.
Botanical Brouhaha is a blog started by Amy McGee in 2009. The purpose of the blog is to provide inspiration and encouragement to floral designers. In 2017 the Botanical Brouhaha podcast was launched along with a charitable initiative to support our local community. Botanical Brouhaha will continue to offer inspiration and education through the blog and podcast as a sister company to Bloom Trust Co. You can find Botanical Brouhaha at www.botanicalbrouhaha.com
Maybe! Let us know what you have in mind. You can contact us by email.
The easiest way is to click on the “Need Help?” button located on the right side of this page. There is a simple email link where you can send us your question or suggestion. We are committed to responding to all inquiries within 24 hours, but sometimes the response time is much quicker. If you don’t see that button, just send us an email at hello@bloomtrustco.com and a member of our team will respond within 24 hours.
We have two billing options. You can purchase a monthly subscription or an annual membership (which gives you two free months!).
We hope once you join us that you’ll stay for a long time, but we definitely want to make it simple and straightforward if you decide to cancel. We have a simple link on the member account page that will cancel your membership. Your account will stay active and you will still have access until the end of the term you have paid for, but it won’t automatically renew. You don’t have to contact us to ask us to cancel. We hate those awkward exchanges as much as you do!
