About Jennie
Owner and Creative Director at Love ‘n Fresh Flowers, Jennie Love is a trained professional horticulturist and an experienced, life-long farmer. Leaving behind a successful corporate career in marketing, Jennie took up organic flower farming in 2008 and launched her thriving event design studio in 2009. A charismatic and passionate flower farmer, Jennie found her natural niche as a “farmer florist” for wedding and special event design, becoming a recognized leader in the burgeoning local flower renaissance.

She has been featured several times in the New York Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, Brides Magazine and Martha Stewart Weddings for her seed-to-centerpiece efforts. Her distinctively lush and textural floral designs have been used in hundreds of weddings as well as for numerous photo shoots, magazines, style blogs, and books.

Jennie has led more than a hundred on-farm workshops and master classes as well as teaching accredited classes for Longwood Gardens’ Floral Design Certificate program. Jennie is the President of the international Association of Specialty Cut Flower Growers and writes a regular column for the Cut Flower Quarterly. On a petite, but highly productive, five-acre farm, Jennie runs a very successful, profitable business that fully supports her and four+ employees each season.

Teaching Style
Structured classes but with a relaxed vibe where any and all questions are welcomed throughout the experience. I consider myself an open book and I really enjoy direct and personal interaction with students. I am equally comfortable with a lecture/demonstration format as I am with hands-on working groups.

Design Aesthetic
My floral design style is textural, abundant and seasonally-driven. I design nearly exclusively with flowers I grow myself.
